Bryce was admitted to the hospital today and then taken to ICU tonight. We just got home. His blood pressure is very low and he has a fever. They suspect that he has another blood infection. He is in Room 508 in the Heart and Lung part of the hospital.
We know that many prayers have been offered in his behalf by each of you and we would ask that you continue praying for him. Fortunately the ulcerations in his throat have healed and he has been able to eat again. Last week he actually was doing quite well, but he has been quite ill since Sunday.
He is currently scheduled to go to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota on May 18th to evaluate his cancer and see if they can figure out what else is going on. We are hoping for a miracle that he won't have to make this trip.

Trials by President James E. Faust
Everybody in this life has their challenges and difficulties. That is part of our mortal test. The reason for some of these trials cannot be readily understood except on the basis of faith and hope because there is often a larger purpose which we do not always understand. Peace comes through hope.

Comforting Thought by Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin
The Lord compensates the faithful for every loss. That which is taken away from those who love the Lord will be added unto them in His own way. While it may not come at the time we desire, the faithful will know that every tear today will eventually be returned a hundredfold with tears of rejoicing and gratitude.
